Adelard was born in 1090 in Bath and soon became known as Adelard of Bath. A natural philosopher and considered the first English scientist he is known for his translations of important Greek scientific works of astrology, astronomy, philosophy, alchemy and mathematics into Latin from Arabic which were then introduce throughout Western Europe.

CANDLE CARE:
Do not burn in direct sunlight or near any source of heat
Never leave a burning candle unattended
Burn out of reach of children & pets
Trim the wick between burns to 10mm
